The Oregonian, established in 1850, is the oldest continuously published newspaper on the U.S. west coast.

William Conner II, the current dealer of The Dalles Oregonian, first began working in newspaper distribution in 1982, at the age of 8, delivering papers from his bicycle before school each day. He was the last carrier under the age of 18 hired at The Dalles Oregonian. He delivered all through his child and teenage years.
William Conner II purchased the dealership in 2011. Since purchase, he has expanded service into Klickitat, Sherman County, and southern Wasco County.
